Mako Shark Caught in Tampa Bay 1-5-2011

We caught this mako while grouper fishing near the Saint Pete artificial reef just out side of tampa bay. The shark was eating all the grouper we were fishing for.The fished was filleted and everything was ate everything. We even used the skin for leather making material.

Incredible Pod of Wild Dolphins Frolicking in Tampa Bay

We saw this pod of Dolphins on our way out to a fishing spot on a recent charter. They are absolutely beautiful and graceful racing along side the boat just a few feet away. As many time as I have seen them over the past 20+ years, sights like this never get old!

It makes a perfect charter where you get both the beauty of nature and the fun and excitement of sport fishing in the great waters of Tampa Bay.

Grouper and snapper have been thick this year on the inshore bottom. We have been able to catch plenty of snapper and grouper on our half days. Usually this time of year we have to do a full day for the grouper. The tarpon have moved in and we have been getting plenty of fish on the hill tides. Permit are plentiful on the inshore reefs. The shark fishing is great just a few hundred yards off the beach. Kingfish are still around and we have been getting a few every other trip. Let us know what kinda trip we can put together for you.
